Background

As a subsidiary effect of building the NLPL infrastructure, the project plan also include training and outreach components, to increase knowledge of scientific computing techniques and available infrastructures among project participants and other Nordic researchers in NLP.

NLPL Workshop

Co-located with the 22nd Nordic Conference on Computational Linguistics, NLPL organizes a one-day workshop on Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing.

Winter School

Since 2018, NLPL organizes an annual winter school on machine learning and scientific computing techniques for Natural Language Processing. These events target doctoral and post-doctoral fellows and other research staff at Nordic NLP research centers. Participation is subsidized by the project.
